Membership Program
Membership Program originates from the entrepreneurship program that HKUST implemented on Clear Water Bay Campus in 1999. It is the core incubation program of Blue Bay that various services and resources will be prioritized for membership program companies and customized dedicated support and services based on their needs.
Requirements

The company must be registered and actively operating in Shenzhen;

The company should generally be established for no more than 3 years. If the company is applying HKUST technology or is a graduate of another Blue Bay incubation program, the requirement may be relaxed at the discretion that Blue Bay operation team will conduct the evaluation for the evaluation committee to review;

The company must be committed to providing innovative products or services;

Key focus areas: Big data/AI, Robotics/Smart Manufacturing, Microelectronics, New Energy/New Materials, Biomedical/Healthcare and Fintech;

Startups/Teams include at least 1 HKUST faculty member, alumni or student who holds 10% or more equity in the company; or the teams that have reached the semi-final round of HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competitions;

If a company meets the above eligibility criteria 1-5, and also meets one of the following conditions, it can be exempted from the regular review process and directly enter as "Blue Bay Express" program: (1) the company has reached the finals of the HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition's regional or grand finals; (2) the company has got the top 3 of the finals in affiliated competitions of HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition, or other major entrepreneurship competitions organized by the government; (3) the company has received a round of external equity financing; (4) the company had over 5 million yuan sales revenue in the previous year.
